On a summer day below Liberty Bell Mountain, a baby mountain goat called a “kid” clings to the rock using its soft pads on split hooves. Mountain goats are natural climbers, and are at home in the alpine crags and ridges of the North Cascade Mountains. You can often view mountain goats from the Blue Lake trail near Mazama, Washington.
